The brief
To help the recently promoted IS director of an internal services
provider to encourage individual and corporate creativity,
responding to customer feedback that the organisation is inflexible,
unhelpfully reactionary and considered by senior management colleagues
to be increasingly out of step with the dynamic character of the
parent company.

action plan To work with the IS director and his operational
managers in developing a more creative approach to problem solving
via a range of interventions including workshops, briefings and
individual coaching, identifying and communicating the performance
required of individual employees if the business is to prosper.
Assist the senior-management team to develop a culture where
lateral thinking and the proactive pursuit of solutions is encouraged
and welcomed throughout the organisation; and develop and implement
diagnostic tests that measure the impact that the changing culture
has on internal customer satisfaction levels.
